When you register the room you currently live in, our agent verifies it. After verification, a 30% cashback token is credited to your wallet. This token has no real cash cost to us yet — it's redeemable only when you actually book your next room.
When you book your next room through RentoRooms, your 30% token converts to real cash credited to your account or UPI. This is the first real payout — and it's the same amount a broker would have charged you.
By your third booking, the platform habit is already formed. Cashback drops to 10% — still more than you'd get anywhere else, and still zero brokerage.
After three moves you've already saved more than a year's worth of broker fees. The 7% keeps coming. The zero brokerage never changes.

Common questions
What exactly is 30% of one month's rent?
If your monthly rent is ₹8,000, your cashback token is worth ₹2,400 (30% × ₹8,000). If your next room's rent is ₹10,000, the 2nd booking cashback would be ₹3,000 (30% × ₹10,000 at the time of that booking). Each cashback is calculated on the rent of that specific booking.
Does the cashback token expire?
No. Your token stays in your wallet until you use it. There is no deadline. You could move next month or two years from now — the token will still be there.
When is the token converted to actual cash?
On your 2nd booking through RentoRooms. Once you move into your next verified room through the platform, the 30% token from your 1st registration converts to real cash (credited to your bank account or UPI). The 3rd, 4th and further cashbacks are credited directly at each booking.
Do I have to scan a QR code when I leave?
Yes — and this is important. When you move out, you must scan the QR code on your room door to trigger your cashback claim and to mark the room as vacant in our system. The scan is what makes your token redeemable. Our team also independently confirms the checkout with the owner for accuracy.
What if I move to a different city?
Your cashback token travels with you. RentoRooms works across India — your 30% token earned in Indore is valid when you book a room in Pune, Bengaluru, or anywhere else on the platform. Your verified history moves with you too.
Is there any broker fee at any point?
No. Zero brokerage, always. You never pay a broker fee when booking through RentoRooms — not on the 1st booking, not on the 10th. The cashback is on top of that, not instead of it.
What if the cashback ladder seems complicated — is there a simple version?
