Do I have to give exclusivity to RentoRooms?
No. We ask only for soft consent — the right to market and list your room when it becomes vacant. You are free to use other channels simultaneously. We earn only when we deliver, so we have every incentive to move fast.
What does the 2-week guarantee actually mean?
It means: if we don't place a verified tenant within 2 weeks of confirmed vacancy, our commission for that placement cycle is waived entirely. You owe us nothing. We continue trying to fill the room at no cost. It does not mean we pay you rent for the empty period — we never pay cash to owners under any circumstances. This is a fee-waiver, not a cash guarantee.
What if my tenant was found without RentoRooms?
Our service only applies to rooms where we place the tenant. If you find a tenant yourself or through another channel, that room remains completely outside our scope. We won't charge, claim or manage rooms we had no role in filling.
Is the 20% commission negotiable?
The rate is fixed at 20% of one month's rent, charged once, on success. This is already cheaper than what full-service property managers charge over a standard lease (typically 1.4 to 2.1 months' total). There is no recurring fee, no monthly management charge, and no hidden cost.
What if I have multiple properties or multiple rooms?
Each room is tracked individually. A property with 4 rooms has 4 QR tags, 4 independent vacancy signals, and 4 separate placement cycles. Each room is charged the 20% commission only on its own successful placement — we don't bundle or cross-charge.
What happens after the tenant is placed?
The relationship continues passively. The new tenant's QR code is active on their door — when they eventually move out, the room flips to vacant automatically, and the cycle begins again. You don't need to re-register or re-contact us for the next vacancy. It runs itself.
Is tenant verification included?
Yes. Every tenant shown your property has signed in to RentoRooms and completed Aadhaar-based KYC. We do not show unverified leads to owners.
